Passenger Services Assistants

Employment Type: Seasonal (temporary), however we anticipate opportunities for permanent employment beyond this summer

Hours Per week: Minimum of 20 hours per week, however there will be the opportunity to work full time hours as seasonal demands dictate

250 Bonus Scheme: A £250 incentive payment will be paid on completion of 20 weeks continuous service

Salary: £9.52 per hour rising to £9.59 per hour once trained in airside driving


About the role:

A number of opportunities have arisen for seasonal Passenger Services Assistants and Operatives to apply for a role within our busy and dynamic team within the Passenger Services Department. The department is key in the delivery of terminal operations providing key services to our customers and airlines, including and not limited to the providing of assistance to customers requiring additional support, management of the baggage belt system to ensure the continuous operation and transporting customers via coach to their aircraft. A full training program will be provided over a number of weeks to the successful staff members giving them full oversight of their role.  Both roles have the opportunity for progression with in the airport teams providing a good base for development of aviation experience.

Duties include
•    Driving of airfield coaches** 
•    Providing assistance to passengers with reduced mobility.
•    Assisting with baggage belt system operations, clearing baggage blockages. 
•    Front of house assistance desk manning, checking in customers with reduced mobility. 
•    Assisting on ambulift vehicles driving customers to and from aircraft. 
•    Customer service duties helping passengers arriving and departing.
•    Work with our business partners to provide a great customer journey.

Reporting to the Passenger Services Supervisory team you will be accountable for the delivery of safe, secure, and customer focused coaching and assistance services to customers.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate experience of effective communication with customers, colleagues, and business partners, as well as a passion for excellent customer service. All applicants should be able to attend work outside of public transport operating hours and those applying for the role of Passenger Services Operative ** must hold a full UK Driving License.
