Eastern Airways increases flights to Aberdeen from Newcastle International Airport

Eastern Airways has further invested in the North East by increasing the number of weekly flights between Newcastle International Airport and Aberdeen Airport.

As of Monday 28th November 2022, over one year on from resuming flights, Eastern Airways will be flying to Aberdeen twice a day (Monday to Thursday) alongside their existing daily Friday and Sunday service.

This increased schedule sees 10 flights operating six days a week to give passengers a convenient and hassle-free way of travelling to the Scottish port city from Newcastle in under one hour.

Providing vital connectivity between the two regions for the transport-reliant offshore oil, gas and renewables industries, this increased capacity will be welcomed by many businesses in both the North East of England and Scotland, as well as passengers looking to travel to Aberdeenshire or the Highlands on holiday or to visit friends and family.

Leon McQuaid, Director of Aviation Development at Newcastle International Airport said:

“This is great news for North East businesses as this connection is vital for the region’s economy and many businesses that operate in the offshore sector. This investment demonstrates further confidence in the North East’s largest airport and the region as a whole and we expect this news to be well received by North East businesses.”

Passengers flying with Eastern Airways can benefit from a swift check-in up to 30 minutes prior to departure, one item of free hold baggage and a high level of customer service throughout their journey.
