Naked Deli opens at Newcastle Airport to the delight of Passengers

Award winning airport*, Newcastle International, has welcomed a brand new addition to its departure lounge offering - Newcastle-based healthy restaurant chain The Naked Deli.

In a first for The Naked Deli, the brand new outlet provides a health-conscious and clean-eating experience to passengers departing from the North East’s largest airport. Using only whole and natural state food, it boasts a wide ranging menu with a keen focus on locally-sourced foods.

Located in the Airport’s departure lounge, the outlet offers a range of pre-prepared ‘Naked Bowls’, healthy wraps, smoothies and treats for passengers to enjoy before or during their flight. Passengers can also build their own Salad Bowl from a selection of firm favourites from The Naked Deli’s other outlets - including Beetballs, Chargrilled Chicken, Superfood Salad, Sweet Potato Hash and Chilli Greens.

Dean Ward, Head of Commercial at Newcastle International Airport, said: “We’re delighted to be able to offer something new for our passengers to enjoy in this world-first airport outlet.

“Passengers love The Naked Deli brand and feedback so far has been extremely positive. With more and more of our passengers becoming increasingly health conscious, it is important that our food and beverage options reflect this and we continue to offer something for everyone.”

Kirstie Kimmins, Director at The Naked Deli, said: “We’re overjoyed with the positive feedback from passengers about our brand new outlet.

“It’s our fourth concession and our first in an Airport so we’re extremely excited to see what the future holds. The menu has gone down extremely well so far but we will be regularly changing and adapting it to suit the needs of the Airport passengers.”

The Naked Deli currently has three outlets within the region; Gosforth, Heaton and Fenwick’s Food Hall. Its large social media presence has attracted a wide customer base and the news of its latest opening comes to the delight of passengers from across the region and beyond.
